Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Klypr (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website, web application, and tools (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to this Policy.
1. Information we collect
Account information
When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We do not receive or store your Google password.
Content you upload or create
We store the videos, audio, images, prompts, captions, motion projects, portfolio content, and marketplace listings you upload or create, along with exports the Service renders for you.
Usage and technical data
Like most web services, we and our hosting providers automatically collect technical data such as IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and timestamps, in server logs used for security, debugging, and abuse prevention.
2. How we use your information
- To provide the Service — authenticate you, store and render your projects, and deliver your exports.
- To power AI features — transcribe your audio, generate captions, and create or edit animations from your prompts.
- To display content you choose to make public, such as portfolios and marketplace listings.
- To secure and improve the Service — prevent abuse, enforce rate limits, debug problems, and understand which features are used.
- To communicate with you about the Service, including important changes to it or to these policies.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. AI processing
When you use AI features, the relevant inputs are sent to our AI providers to generate the result: audio you transcribe or caption is sent to OpenAI for speech-to-text, and prompts (and, where applicable, images or project context) are sent to OpenAI models to generate or edit animations. We use these providers under terms that restrict their use of API data; per OpenAI’s API policy, API inputs are not used to train their models. Do not include sensitive personal information in prompts or uploads unless it is necessary for your project.
4. Service providers
We share data with vendors who process it on our behalf to run the Service:
- Google — sign-in (OAuth authentication).
- Supabase — authentication and database (account data, project metadata).
- Cloudflare R2 — storage for uploaded media and rendered video.
- Vercel — application hosting and server logs.
- OpenAI — transcription and AI generation, as described above.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of Klypr or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (in which case this Policy will continue to apply to your data until updated).
5. Cookies and local storage
We use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember preferences. These are necessary for the Service to work. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies.
6. Data retention
We keep your account data and content for as long as your account is active. If you delete content, or request account deletion by emailing hello@klypr.app, we will delete the associated data within a reasonable period, except for copies in routine backups (which expire on a rolling basis) and records we must keep for legal, security, or anti-abuse reasons. Server logs are retained for a limited period and then deleted or anonymized.
7. Security
We protect your data with measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, signed URLs for media access, and reputable infrastructure providers. No online service is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA in California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@klypr.appfrom the address associated with your account. You can also disconnect Klypr’s access to your Google account at any time from your Google security settings.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International transfers
Our providers operate primarily in the United States. If you use the Service from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US and other countries where our providers operate, which may have different data-protection laws than your country.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post changes here and update the effective date; for material changes we will also notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
12. Contact
